Peter Kenny

Peter Kenny has extensive work experience in various roles related to governance, compliance, and information security. From 2013 to present, they have worked for Canon Business Services | Harbour IT as the Head of Governance and the Information Security Manager for Canon Oceania. In these roles, they were responsible for building and maintaining governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, achieving various accreditations, and overseeing audits and reporting. Prior to this, they served as the Managed Services and Governance Manager at Canon Oceania, the Quality and Compliance Manager at EGroup Pty Ltd, and the IT Service Delivery Manager at UnitingCare. Peter also has experience working as a Project Manager at Harbour IT and as an IT Operations Manager at Bupa Australia Limited/MBF Australia Limited and MBF Australia Limited. Additionally, Peter worked as a CSC Site Manager at AMP Parramatta NSW and in various roles at CSC, including Operations Manager, Pre-Sales Consultant, and CSC Australia. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in policy development, risk management, and process improvement.

Peter Kenny earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Technology Management from Deakin University, which they attended from 1996 to 1999. Peter furthered their education with a Graduate Diploma of Management in MBA Technology Management from Deakin University, which they completed from 1997 to 2000. In 2001, Peter attended the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in E-Commerce Management. Additionally, they obtained an ITIL V3 Foundations Certificate from Exin in 2009-2010.

Peter Kenny has also obtained several certifications from ISACA, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls® (CRISC), and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT® (CGEIT). Peter has also received various accreditations in Information Technology from ISACA. Furthermore, Peter has acquired several additional certifications, such as Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA in 2021, and a Cybersecurity Audit Certificate from ISACA in 2020.

In terms of professional affiliations, Peter Kenny became a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) in 2016.
