Joost van Pinxten has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Joost started their career as a Documenter/Tester at Augusoft in 2007 and worked there until 2013. During this time, they gained valuable experience in documentation and testing.
In 2012, Joost completed a graduation internship at the Embedded Systems Institute, where they focused on improving the information architecture of the Octopus Design Space Exploration tool set using model transformation techniques.
Joost then joined the University of York in 2013 as a participant in the YCCSA Summer School. Joost worked on the Flexible Graphical Modelling of Gene Networks project, where they added a behavior definition language to the project's tool, EuGENia Live.
In 2013, Joost also worked at TNO-ESI as a Scientific Programmer for a few months.

Finally, since 2019, Joost has been employed at Canon Production Printing. Joost initially worked as a Model Based Developer and later transitioned into the role of Team Lead Model Driven Engineering starting in January 2021.
