Canon Production Printing
Matthias Karmann has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Matthias started their career in 1999 with Flughafen Düsseldorf GmbH, where they worked as a Mechatronic Technician and completed a Technical Apprenticeship in Mechatronics. Matthias then moved on to Rockwell Automation, where they completed an internship in the Development of Industrial Gearboxes.
In 2006, Matthias joined Porsche, where they worked on their Diploma Thesis in the Department for Engine Application and completed an internship in the Development of Gearbox and Application. After that, they joined AUDI AG as a Project Engineer, where they worked in the Development of Engine Auxiliaries for the C-Series.
In 2011, Matthias transitioned to DAF Trucks NV, where they initially worked as a Project Engineer in the Development of Engine Auxiliaries and later advanced to the role of Senior Project Engineer and Product Specialist for Engine Hardware.
From 2017 to 2019, Matthias worked at Océ - A Canon Company as a Project Leader in Equipment Engineering. Matthias then joined Canon Production Printing in 2020, where they took on the role of Program Manager/Team Lead for Equipment Engineering Ink, managing CPP's equipment investment program and leading a team of engineers.
Overall, Matthias has gained extensive experience in equipment engineering, project management, and team leadership throughout their career.
Matthias Karmann earned their Entrance Certificate for Advanced Technical College from Secondary School / Andreas-Vesalius-Gymnasium in 1997. Matthias then went on to obtain an Entrance Certificate for University of Applied Sciences from Berufskolleg Wesel in 1999. After that, they attended Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen from 2003 to 2007 and graduated with a degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. In 2007, they also obtained the certification of Diplom-Ingenieur für Mechatronik (Schwerpunkt Design).
