Jongmoo Choi

Jongmoo Choi is a seasoned expert in autonomous driving and robotics, currently serving as a principal ADAS engineer at Canoo since April 2019, following a role as an autonomous driving engineer. Prior to this, Jongmoo Choi held various research positions at the University of Southern California from October 2006 to December 2018, including senior research associate and post-doctoral research associate, focusing on projects related to 3D modeling, facial recognition, and deep learning. Jongmoo Choi also contributed to the Intelligent Systems Research Center at Sungkyunkwan University as a research associate professor from January 2004 to October 2006 and directed a research center at Dream Mirh from January 2000 to August 2003, specializing in biometrics. Jongmoo Choi's educational background includes a postdoctoral fellowship in computer vision from the University of Southern California, a PhD in computer engineering, and a master's in cognitive science, all supplemented by a BA in physics from Sungkyunkwan University.
