Yann Marmonier

Yann Marmonier's work experience includes various roles in the insurance industry. Yann currently serves as the APAC Chief Underwriting Officer at Canopius Group, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Head of Insurance APAC & MENA at Canopius Group from October 2018 to June 2022.

Before joining Canopius Group, Yann worked at Aspen Singapore Pte Ltd as the Managing Director from May 2016 to September 2018. Yann also served as the Country Head at XL Catlin from May 2015 to May 2016.

Yann's earlier experience includes roles at Catlin Singapore, where they were the Principal Officer from January 2011 to May 2016. Yann also served as an Energy Underwriter at Catlin Singapore from June 2007 to December 2010.

Prior to their roles in the insurance industry, Yann worked as an Offshore and Marine Underwriter at AXA RE from August 2005 to May 2007.

Yann's career began in the energy sector, where they worked as a Drilling Engineer at Total E&P from 2000 to 2005, and as a Production Engineer at Perenco from 1998 to 2000.

Yann Marmonier's education history begins in 1991, where they attended INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon. Yann pursued a MSc degree in Industrial Engineering and completed their studies in 1996.

After a few years, Yann Marmonier decided to further their education in the field of Petroleum Engineering. From 1998 to 1999, they enrolled in IFP School to earn a MSc degree.

Later on, Yann Marmonier showed interest in gaining business knowledge and pursuing an MBA degree. In 2003, they joined INSEAD for an MBA program, which lasted until 2004.

Overall, Yann Marmonier's education journey comprised a MSc in Industrial Engineering from INSA Lyon, a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from IFP School, and an MBA from INSEAD.
