Rob Small

Rob Small is a Senior Manager of Public Relations and Communications at Canopy Rivers. Rob has over eight years of experience in the public relations industry, specializing in crisis and reputation risk management.

Rob started their career at Edelman in 2014 as a Senior Account Executive in the Corporate Practice. There, they provided expert PR counsel and execution to companies undergoing transformational crises. Rob also worked extensively in media and stakeholder relations, helping organizations respond to environmental disasters, litigation, regulatory hurdles, food health and safety issues, product recalls, labour disruptions, and animal welfare issues. In 2018, Rob moved to Deloitte as an Intelligence Analyst in the Forensic department.

Most recently, Rob joined RIV Capital Inc. as the Senior Manager of Public Relations and Communications. In this role, they are responsible for leading all aspects of the company's communications strategy. This includes media relations, internal communications, external communications, Investor Relations, and Crisis Communications.

Rob Small completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations at Carleton University. Rob then completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations at Humber College. Lastly, they completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma at Eastview Secondary School.

Rob Small works with Alessandra Hechanova - Senior Manager, Digital Marketing, Eddie Lucarelli - Chief Financial Officer, and Mary Dimou - Senior Director, Venture Capital & Portfolio Operations. Their manager is Narbé Alexandrian, President and Chief Executive Officer.
