Dan Alonso

Dan Alonso is an accomplished Asset Manager at Cantium, managing a significant offshore brownfield with 2.2 billion barrels of OOIP since August 2017. As a key contributor to the startup of Cantium, Dan was the first subsurface employee, responsible for recruiting professionals, developing economic evaluation models, negotiating contracts, and enhancing field production by 40% in the first year. Prior experience includes roles at Chevron as a Reservoir Engineer and Wellsite Manager, where Dan developed reservoir simulation models and executed frac pack completions for various Gulf of Mexico assets. Dan's early career included internships at Chevron and W&T Offshore, focusing on drilling, reservoir optimization, and pipeline integrity. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
