Tom Bergeon

Tom Bergeon is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in oil exploration and geophysics. Currently serving as a Senior Geoscientist at Cantium since September 2020, Tom specializes in exploration geology, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico region. Previous roles include Senior Exploration Consultant at Bergeon Geosciences LLC and Senior Geologist/Geophysicist at Southern Oil of Louisiana, where Tom contributed to upstream exploration efforts. Notable earlier positions include Senior Exploration Geophysicist at Shell and Chevron, where Tom was integral in generating exploration leads and discoveries, including Chevron's first deepwater project. Tom’s academic background includes a Master's degree in Geophysics and Geology from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Michigan State University.
