Erica Emerson

Erica Emerson is currently the Education Director at the Canton Museum of Art. Prior to their current position, they were the owner of Mix It Up, a small mobile "paint and sip" edutainment business. Erica has also taught art at both the middle school and high school level.

Erica's passion for art began at a young age and they have always loved sharing their passion with others. After completing their undergraduate degree in Art Education from Kent State University, they began their career as an art teacher. Erica has taught at both the middle school and high school level, and has also served as a mentor teacher to student teachers at Muskingum University.

In their current position as Education Director at the Canton Museum of Art, Erica is responsible for overseeing all educational programming at the museum. Erica works closely with museum staff and volunteers to develop and implement programs that will engage and educate visitors of all ages. Erica is passionate about making the arts accessible to everyone and believes that the Canton Museum of Art is a vital resource for the community.

Erica Emerson has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kent State University in Art Teacher Education. Erica is certified from the Ohio Department of Education in PK-12 Ohio Art Education.

Their manager is Max Barton, Executive Director & CEO. They are on a team with Dee St. Clair - Finance Director, Dianne Papes - Therapeutic Arts Coordinator, and Danielle Attar - Marketing & Events Director.
