Brent Sargent

Brent Sargent is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Detection and Hunting Lead at Canva since July 2021. Prior to this role, Brent worked as a Senior Security Engineer at Amazon from January 2014 to July 2021. Brent's career began at Boeing, where participation in the IT Career Foundation Program included roles as a Versatile Technologist and IT Product Systems Developer between June 2012 and January 2014. In these positions, Brent developed expertise in installing and configuring various server environments and maintaining web applications using technologies such as ASP.NET, ASP Classic, and SQL Server. Brent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Systems from the University of Washington, which was completed between 2010 and 2012.
