Anisa Nuanes has had a varied and successful career, beginning in 2012 as a Civil Engineering Intern for TCU Consulting Services. In 2014, they were a Materials Scientist for FreshPress Agricultural Fiber Paper-Making Start Up, an Undergraduate Research Assistant for Professor Lesile Allen Research Group, and a Materials Scientist for Mississippi State University. In 2015, they were an Engineering Intern for Cook Medical, and in 2017, they were an R&D Intern for The Clorox Company. From 2018-2021, they were employed by The Clorox Company in various roles, including R&D Scientist I and II, and Innovation Project Manager and New Product Introduction Manager. During their time at Clorox, they drove their invention from creation to launch, winning the 2019 Clorox Global R&D Award for the "Think Big" Category.
Anisa Nuanes attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2013 to 2017 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Engineering.
