Juan Manuel Cuya Cabanillas

Juan Manuel Cuya Cabanillas has extensive experience in the technology industry. Juan Manuel began their career in 2001 as a DBA for DB2 LUW and Oracle at IBM. Juan Manuel then transitioned into roles such as Tivoli Consultant Lead and Smartcloud Consultant Lead, where they were responsible for consulting projects in Spanish South America.

In 2016, Juan Manuel joined IBM as the Hybrid Cloud Consultant Lead for Spanish South America, leading cloud projects in the region. Juan Manuel also had a role as a Cloud Computing Professor at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.

In 2018, Juan Manuel joined Huawei as the Director of Cloud in Peru and later became the Vice President of Huawei Cloud Peru & Cloud Business Sales Director. Juan Manuel was responsible for driving the commercial growth of Huawei's cloud division in the Peruvian industry and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Currently, Juan Manuel is working at Canvia as the Country Director of the Digital Infrastructure BU. Juan Manuel oversees various lines of business, including public and private cloud, data centers, and smart desk. Juan Manuel is responsible for the country's commercial strategy, P&L, project management, and implementation.

Throughout their career, Juan Manuel has demonstrated expertise in infrastructure, connectivity, cloud platforms, and hardware. Juan Manuel has successfully led projects in various industries, including banking, retail, healthcare, education, mining, and government. Juan Manuel has also maintained strong relationships with CEOs and directors at a corporate level.

Juan Manuel Cuya Cabanillas has an extensive education history. Juan Manuel obtained a Candidato Doctor en Ingenieria (Doctorate in Engineering) from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú from 2018 to 2020. Juan Manuel also completed Expert in Negotiation and Sales training at IBM Global Sales School in 2015 and 2016. In 2011 to 2013, they pursued two Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, one from Universidad Europea with a focus on Educational Leadership and Administration, and the other from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in Business Administration and Management. Additionally, they received certification in various fields such as Huawei Certified Network Associate - Cloud Service from Huawei Technologies in 2018 and multiple certifications from IBM in IT, network management, and database administration. In 2010, they obtained the ITIL V.3 certification from EXIN.
