Heiko Bayer

Heiko Bayer has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Heiko is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Canyon AeroConnect since March 2021. Previously, they worked as the Head of Software Engineering at Cobham Aerospace Connectivity from July 2020 to March 2021. Heiko also served as the Software Engineering Manager at Cobham Aerospace Communications from January 2016 to July 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Software Engineering Manager at Data Device Corporation, where they managed a team of 17 software developers and led multiple projects from July 2012 to January 2016. Before joining Data Device Corporation, Heiko worked as a Sr. Software Engineer and Software Project Leader at the same company from June 2009 to July 2012. Heiko also has experience as a Team Leader/Manager of Software Applications Engineering Europe at DDC Deutschland GmbH and as the Owner of Aviotronic GmbH. Heiko started their career as a Team Leader of Avionic System Integration Software Development at Eurocopter Deutschland GmbH & German Army Aviation.

Heiko Bayer obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of the German Armed Forces, Munich, Germany between 1991 and 1995. In 2015, they also received a certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt from Stony Brook University.
