Pytsje Van Der Meer

Pytsje Van Der Meer is the current Stream Manager at Caparis and was previously the Teamleider at Pastiel from February 2013 to February 2019. Pastiel is a unique project in which 13 municipalities and Empatec work together to help those on welfare get back to work as soon as possible. The central focus of the joint efforts is the employer and their ability and desire to employ those with distance from the labor market. The collaborating organizations pool their resources, knowledge and potential employees to offer an attractive proposition to employers.

One team, one methodology and one office mean faster and more efficient work for the collaborating organizations. Re-integration activities that social services used to purchase are now carried out by Pastiel itself. The wishes of employers and the possibilities of job seekers in western Fryslân are better aligned. With this approach, the parties involved want to convert restructuring and cuts in the social domain into more opportunities for both people who are dependent on welfare and for businesses.

Pytsje Van Der Meer studied Maatschappelijk Werk en Dienstverlening at NHL Hogeschool. Pytsje then went on to study at Lauwers college.
