Chang Guofeng has worked in various roles since 2014. Chang began their career as a Recruitment Consultant Intern at Brampton Training and Consultancy in 2014, followed by an Internal Auditor Intern at NatWest Group in 2015. In 2016, they held three roles, including Senior Associate - Deals (Restructuring) at PwC Malaysia, Contributing Author at The Market Mogul, and Economics Briefing Project Mentor at the University of Warwick. In 2020, they joined CapBay as Head of Transformation and Governance (SVP), where they are responsible for designing strategic business models, developing transformation roadmaps, and implementing change initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Chang is also responsible for the management of group-wide risk and governance to ensure current practices are aligned with regulatory guidelines and internal risk appetites. Additionally, they have advised on the development of new financing products from conception, design, and launch.
Chang Guofeng's education history includes obtaining a Malaysian Certificate of Education (Sijil Pelajarann Malaysia) from Wesley Methodist School from 2007 to 2011, GCE A Level from HELP University from 2012 to 2013, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours in Economics from the University of Warwick from 2013 to 2016, an Open Studies Certificate in Law and Global Politics from the Centre for Lifelong Learning, The University of Warwick in 2016, and a Bachelor of Laws - LLB from the University of London in 2020. Additionally, Chang Guofeng obtained certifications in Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Power Point, Open Studies Certificate in World Politics, Open Studies Certificate in Law, and Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Excel in 2015 and 2016. Chang also passed Level 1 of the CFA Institute in their first attempt.
