Benjamin Kearns

Benjamin Kearns is a seasoned water resource management professional with extensive experience at Cape Fear Public Utility Authority since March 2011, serving in various roles including Water Resources Manager and Water Treatment Facilities Manager. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of water treatment plants, managing personnel, and implementing asset management systems. Previous positions include Biologist 1 at CZR Incorporated, where water quality monitoring and data analysis were key duties, as well as environmental consulting for the Bald Head Island Hydrogeology Project. Kearns began a career in the field with the USACE Cape Fear River Project, focusing on field leadership and data collection. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Coastal Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
