Carel Vandermeyden

Carel Vandermeyden has extensive experience in the water utility sector, having held significant leadership roles at various organizations. At Cape Fear Public Utility Authority, Carel served as the Deputy Executive Director and Director of Engineering from April 2014 until retirement. Prior experience includes Chief Engineer at Cincinnati Water Works from October 2006 to April 2014 and positions at Greater Cincinnati Water Works, including Assistant Treatment Superintendent and Senior Engineer from 1999 to 2006. Earlier in the career, Carel worked as a Project Manager at Environmental Engineering and Technology from 1985 to 1999. An academic background includes a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University obtained between 1990 and 1996, along with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering earned at the same institution from 1980 to 1984.
