Jim Benjamin

Jim Benjamin currently serves as the Associate Manager in the Registrar’s Office at Capella University, overseeing various teams and ensuring performance goals are met through effective staff management. Previously, Jim held the position of Director of Human Resources/Administration at Chick-fil-A Restaurants, where systems and processes were developed to enhance Human Resources functions. Jim's extensive experience in higher education includes a tenure of over 20 years at Bethel University, where roles ranged from Dean of Student Life to Associate Dean for Residence Life, focusing on student development and housing management. Earlier career experience includes serving as the Director of Residence Life at St. Olaf College, where a passion for student housing operations was fully realized. Jim holds a Master of Science in Student Personnel Administration from the University of Central Missouri, along with degrees in Mass Communications from Western Illinois University and Marketing Management from South Suburban College.
