Jake Ferruzzi

Staff Attorney, Detained Children's Program at Capital Area Immigrants' Rights (CAIR) Coalition

Jake Ferruzzi is currently a Senior Attorney at Capital Area Immigrants'​ Rights (CAIR) Coalition, working in the Detained Children's Program. Prior to this, Jake has gained experience as a Student Intern at Bluhm Legal Clinic and has held legal intern positions at Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network, Al Otro Lado, and Cook County Public Defender. Jake has also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles and a Tutor at RefugeeOne. With a diverse educational background, Jake holds a Doctor of Law - JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in African American Studies from UCLA, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in African American Studies, Political Science, and History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
