Tammy Williams

VP of Culture and Learning & Development at Capital Credit Union

Tammy Williams has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the financial and healthcare industries. Starting in 1992, they worked at Best Advantage Credit Union, where they served as President/CEO and later as Branch Manager. In these roles, they provided visionary leadership, ensured effective operations, led an organizational restructuring initiative, and built relationships in new communities. From 2014 to 2016, Tammy worked as the Chief Culture Officer at Verve, a Credit Union, where they strategically defined cultural direction, aligned intellectual capital through mergers, re-engineered processes, and developed talent. Tammy then joined The 3rd Element in 2017 as an Entrepreneur, assisting in launching a start-up company focused on skills development for coaches and student athletes. From 2018 to 2021, Tammy served as the Chief Operations Officer at the Orthopedic & Sports Institute of the Fox Valley, overseeing ASC operations, collaborating with campus entities, and managing multiple budgets. Most recently, they worked at AriensCo as the Vice President of Business Development, responsible for implementing business objectives, identifying community development opportunities, and collaborating with stakeholders. Tammy is currently the VP of Culture and Learning & Development at Capital Credit Union, where they are expected to continue leveraging their expertise and leadership skills.

Tammy Williams attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay from 1988 to 1992 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance & Communications. Tammy then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Business Management at the same university from 2007 to 2009. In 1997 to 1999, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they completed the CUNA Management School program. Tammy furthered their education by attending the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management's CEO Institute II in 2013 and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business's CEO Institute III in 2014. Additionally, in 2012, they attended The Wharton School's CEO Institute.
