Paul Ashworth

Chief US Economist at Capital Economics

Paul Ashworth is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as the Chief US Economist at Capital Economics since July 2001. Prior to this role, Ashworth worked as a Research Officer at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research from September 1999 to July 2001 and held positions as a Research Assistant at both the University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow from 1995 to 1999. Academically, Ashworth holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Strathclyde, an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, and a First Class Honours Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with Economics from the University of Strathclyde.
