Claire Axinn

Claire Axinn, CAMS, CFE, CGSS, has extensive experience in compliance and risk advisory roles, currently serving as Director of Sanctions and Risk Advisory at Capital One since June 2016, following positions as Senior Compliance Manager and Compliance Manager within the same department. Prior to Capital One, Claire worked at Navigant as a Senior Consultant focusing on Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance from April 2013 to June 2016, and at Kroll as an Associate Case Manager from June 2011 to April 2013. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in International Economics, International Relations, and International Finance from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), completed in 2012, and a Bachelor’s degree in English, International Studies, and Communications from Penn State University, obtained in 2010. Additional early professional experience includes roles as an Editor Analyst at The Pennsylvania State University and as an Analyst at NBC Universal's The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.
