Jim Dempsey

Jim Dempsey is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in iOS and Android application development. Currently serving as Manager of Software Engineering at Capital One since May 2023, responsibilities include managing engineers, conducting performance reviews, and collaborating on product management and sprint planning. As the Founder and CEO of Smarter Mobile Apps since 2010, Jim has focused on iOS software architecture, project management, and app deployment. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer II at Together Labs, Staff Software Engineer at MobileIron, and Senior iOS Developer at Switchmate Inc., among others, where contributions spanned architecture, implementation, and project coordination. Jim holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from Duke University and a BS in Computer Science from Binghamton University.
