Sean Flanagan

Sean Flanagan, CFA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in asset and liability management, investment strategies, and financial risk management. Currently serving as Managing Vice President of Treasury at Capital One since October 2012, Sean manages the investment securities portfolio, short-term funding, and Treasury resolution planning. Prior roles at Capital One include leadership positions in ALM Strategy, LIBOR Transition, and Balance Sheet Management, focusing on interest rate and FX risk management. Before joining Capital One, Sean held various VP roles at Freddie Mac, overseeing asset and liability management, funding, and derivative execution, while developing hedging strategies for interest rate risk. Sean holds an MS in Finance from the American University - Kogod School of Business and a BS in Finance from the University of Scranton.
