Matt Reimer

Matt Reimer serves as the Operations Supervisor for the McLoughlin Point Wastewater Treatment Plant under the Capital Regional District since November 2021, focusing on operations and environmental protection. Prior experience includes roles at Worley as an Operations Supervisor and Senior Environmental Operator, and at Jacobs as the Lead Water & Wastewater Operator, emphasizing environmental operations in water and wastewater treatment facilities. Matt's extensive background includes positions at CH2M and Neucel Specialty Cellulose, concentrating on environmental impact, treatment operations, and industry certifications. Education includes an Associate Power Engineering degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and various studies at California State University-Sacramento and Summit Pacific College. Matt was also involved in events management and forestry engineering earlier in their career. Additionally, Matt is a member of AWWA, BCWWA, and EOCP and served as Treasurer for the Unifor Local 514 Executive.
