Nkaiso Akpabio has a long and varied work experience. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Follett Higher Education Group as a Manager. From 2010 to 2015, they worked at Capital Teas, LLC as the Vice President of Operations. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Modus Hotels as a Restaurant Manager. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at the Sydell Group as the Director of Front Office. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science as the Manager of Guest Sales & Services. From 2021 to 2022, they worked at Samson Properties as a Realtor Onboarding Specialist. Since 2022, they have been working at The District Pit BBQ Catering Company as the Director of Logistics and at Capital Teas as the Director of Logistics and Customer Support. Additionally, since 2018, they have been working at The Mansion on O & O Street Museum as the Event Manager and Customer Experience.

Nkaiso Akpabio attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a degree in History and English Writing with a focus in African Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics.
