Serene Ong

Serene Ong has extensive work experience in various roles within the real estate and finance industries. Serene started their career in 2001 as a Finance Officer at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore, where they handled budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing. Serene then worked at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, where they held positions as an Assistant Director in finance and as a Senior Assistant Director in the APEC 2009 Organising Secretariat.

In 2008, Serene joined A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research as a Senior Officer in Finance, responsible for accounting and project administration. Serene also worked at Suntec Singapore as a Manager in Exhibition Sales, achieving outstanding sales growth and building strong client relationships.

Serene's experience in the real estate industry includes roles at Ascendas, Ascendas-Singbridge, and CapitaLand. Serene held positions such as Portfolio & Asset Manager, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Head of Corporate Strategy & Development. Serene'sresponsibilities included identifying investment opportunities, developing business strategies, and negotiating deals.

Most recently, Serene worked at The Ascott Limited as Vice President of Business Development & Asset Management. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Portfolio Management at CapitaLand.

Serene Ong holds a Certificate in Real Estate Investment Finance from the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA) in 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their ACCA degree in Accountancy at the Singapore Accountancy Academy from 2004 to 2007. Serene also completed their Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance (Merit) at the National University of Singapore from 1998 to 2001. Serene started their tertiary education at Anderson Junior College in 1996, where they completed their GCE A Level studies.
