John Shin

John Shin is a member of the CapitalG investment team where he focuses on enterprise software and SaaS companies, especially those in the data infrastructure and analytics space.

Prior to joining CapitalG, John was a consultant at Bain & Company where he conducted commercial due diligence for growth equity and hedge fund clients. He also previously spent time on the BizOps team at Orum.

John is originally from Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Systems Engineering. Outside of work he enjoys playing tennis and basketball and trying out new hot sauces to add to his rotation. His current favorite is Dave's Gourmet Scorpion Pepper.
