James Renouf

Director, Environment And Origination at Capital Power

James Renouf began their work experience in 2003 at EPCOR, where they held the roles of East Real-Time Trader from October 2003 to October 2005 and Energy Trader from November 2005 to June 2009. In 2009, they joined Capital Power, starting as a Strategic Portfolio Manager from September 2009 to December 2013. Following that, they became the Renewable Technology Development Manager from January 2014 to August 2015. James then progressed to the role of Director, Environmental Trading & Corporate Strategy from September 2015 to August 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Environment and Origination at Capital Power, starting in August 2020.

James Renouf completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Business Administration and Management from Queen's University between 2015 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the University of Regina, which they attended from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, James Renouf also holds certifications in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute and Energy Risk Professional (ERP) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
