Shannon Bieleny has a diverse work experience. Shannon started their career at Covenant Health Canada in 2013 as a Summer Student in the Misericordia ER. In 2015, they worked as a Summer Student in the Field at Enbridge. In 2016, they served as a Recreation Lead at the City of Edmonton. Shannon then joined the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta in 2017 as a Summer Research Student in Biomedical Engineering. In 2018, they worked as a Cooperative Education Student in Pipeline Integrity Planning at Enbridge. In 2019, they were a Summer Research Intern at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. In 2020, they worked at Noetic Engineering 2008 Inc. as a Junior Project Engineer. Shannon is currently employed at Capital Power since 2020, where they have held roles such as Energy Management Engineer (EIT), Mechanical Engineer (EIT) in the Genesee Repowering Construction Project, and currently as an Operations and Compliance Specialist.
Shannon Bieleny completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, attending from 2015 to 2019. Shannon also holds additional certifications, including First Aid & CPR/AED level C from the Canadian Red Cross, which they obtained in March 2022. In December 2021, they obtained the Essentials - B31.1 Power Piping certification from ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers). In November 2020, they obtained the Project Management Foundations: Small Projects certification from LinkedIn, as well as The Six Morning Habits of High Performers certification from the same institution in August 2020. Lastly, Shannon Bieleny received their Engineer In Training certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in March 2020.
