Esmé Taljaard

Esmé Taljaard has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience design. Esmé started their career in 2006 as a UX Designer at Cape Town Media, where they worked on website development and print materials. Esmé then worked as a UX Designer and Brand Manager at eSpares, where they were responsible for marketing and brand activities, as well as UX design and usability testing.

Esmé also worked as a Senior UX Designer at Seatwave and Timbre Digital, where they worked on various projects across multiple platforms. Esmé conducted research, concept work, prototyping, and final design for these projects.

Esmé also has experience working at BCG Digital Ventures as a Senior UX Designer, where they were involved in launching an online steel buying platform. At Tesco, Esmé held multiple roles, including Lead UX Designer for Tesco One Account and Lead UX Designer for Tesco Clubcard. Esmé was responsible for the user experience of these projects and worked on improving the app's functionality and user interface.

More recently, Esmé worked as a Principal UX Designer at Remitly, where they worked remotely on UX design projects. Currently, they hold the role of UX Lead at Capitec, where they are responsible for leading the user experience team.

Esmé Taljaard attended Kaffrarian High School from 1989 to 2001, although no information regarding a degree or specific field of study is available for this period. Later, from 2002 to 2004, Esmé studied at City Varsity and obtained a degree in Multimedia Design.
