Joe Z.

Joe Z. has an extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property law and biopharmaceuticals. Joe currently holds the position of Senior IP Counsel at Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an IP Counsel at BlueRock Therapeutics from 2021 to 2022. Joe also served as a Patent Attorney at Kutak Rock from 2016 to 2021. Before that, they were the Director, Patent Attorney at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals from 2010 to 2016. Joe Z. has also worked as a Senior Patent Agent at Wyeth BioPharma from 2007 to 2010 and held multiple roles at Saint Louis University, including Director, Office of Innovation & Intellectual Property from 2002 to 2007 and Assistant Professor, Biology from 1998 to 2002.

Joe Z. has a Ph.D. in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology from The Johns Hopkins University. Joe also holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Seton Hall University School of Law. Additionally, Joe Z. has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Loyola University Maryland.
