The role and what we’re looking for

As an Outbound Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in the retention of existing business and incremental portfolio growth through the effective management of Member renewals. This will be remote work.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage the end-to-end process of an existing business protection renewals;
  • Conduct outbound renewal calls;
  • Demonstrate sales skills by identifying Member needs and matching appropriate additional sections and products.
  • Quickly build trusting relationships with Members and Capricorn Mutual field staff.

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated sales skills in a call centre environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task updating systems whilst conversing over the phone.
  • Intermediate skill in the use of Microsoft Office Software Suite.

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience within a Sales and Service oriented role.
  • Insurance industry experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience using CRM systems.
  • Previous experience in an outbound sales role highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • ASIC RG146 tier 1 qualification (desirable)
