Craig MacGovern

Craig MacGovern, CIC, AAI has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Craig started their career as a Supervisor in the Alternative Risk Division at Arthur A. Watson & Co., Inc., where they successfully reconciled major accounts and managed technical and administrative support for senior staff. Craig then worked as a Commercial Account Representative, processing transactions and providing recommendations to clients. Craig later became a Systems Administrator, responsible for maintaining and managing software and hardware systems.

Craig then joined Insurity (LexisNexis) as an Insurance Analyst, providing analytical support and assisting with system requirements. Craig continued their career at Smith Brothers Insurance, Inc. as a Small Commercial Lines and Large Commercial Account Manager, managing a book of business and developing strong client relationships. Craig then moved to CapSpecialty as a Lead Test Analyst, developing and executing test plans to ensure product quality and stability. Additionally, they served as an Assistant Underwriter Contract Surety, supporting underwriters and responding to inquiries from agents.

Throughout their career, Craig has demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and underwriters.

Craig MacGovern, CIC, AAI attended Central Connecticut State University from 1977 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Craig also obtained certifications as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI). In addition, they completed the William J. Angell Surety School Level I offered by NASBP.
