Grace is an associate and a barrister in the Regulatory Division.
Her work at Capsticks currently focuses on preparing and presenting cases of professional misconduct for the Teaching Regulation Agency and other statutory regulators.
Called to the Bar in 2015, Grace practised in criminal defence and prosecution prior to joining the team at Capsticks.
In 2020, she was awarded an Inner Temple Pegasus Scholarship and worked for three months at the European Court of Human Rights.
Grace has experience of working with the in-house Joint Legal Services Department of West Midlands and Staffordshire Police. There, she advised officers on a wide range of operational matters and represented the forces in the Crown, magistrates, family and county courts.
Prior to pupillage, Grace undertook paid internships at the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC), the statutory body responsible for investigating alleged miscarriages of justice, and the Press Office of the Court of Justice of the European Union during the “Brexit” referendum.
Grace is an experienced advocate with a strong background in criminal and policing law and evidence. She has prosecuted and defended clients in jury trials and appeared in courts up to, and including, the High Court (RCJ).
