Lee Smith

Lee Smith has a diverse work experience in various companies. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a District Manager and Drilling Solutions Engineer at National Oilwell Varco. Lee then became a Technical Sales Engineer supporting the sales initiatives of the NOV Wellbore Technologies Executive Sales group. In 2016, they were promoted to Regional Product Line Manager for Drilling Tools, where they drove sales initiatives and facilitated operations for drilling tool products in the Northern US. In 2017, they transitioned to an In-House Engineer role for Devon Energy, providing value-added solutions specific to their needs.

In 2018, Lee joined Backyard Energy Services as a Corporate Sales Representative, focusing on business development and marketing. Lee played a crucial role in the company's growth by significantly increasing their market share and monthly revenues.

In 2019, Lee moved to D-Tech Rotary Steerable as a Business Development Manager, responsible for driving revenue initiatives through developing new business opportunities and cultivating client relations in the oil and gas industry.

Since 2020, Lee has been working at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Partner Development Manager. Lee helps services partners grow their AWS practice through partner development, co-marketing, training & certification, and joint go-to-market solution development.

In 2023, Lee joined CapTech as a Director of AWS Business Development.

Lee Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Tyler, which was completed between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, Lee has been certified as an AWS Cloud Practitioner by Amazon Web Services in April 2020, and obtained the Migration Ambassador Foundations certification from AWS in 2022.
