Stephen Michels, CPA

Stephen Michels, CPA, has a diverse background in accounting, sales operations, and consulting. Stephen began their career in 2005 as a Sensor Operator in the USAF. In 2013, they attended Florida Gulf Coast University as a student. After graduating in 2015, they joined HBK CPAs & Consultants as an Associate, where they were responsible for client financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations. In 2016, they moved to Gartner as a Variable Compensation Analyst. In 2020, they joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Sales Operations Compensation Analyst. Most recently, in 2022, they joined CaptivateIQ as a Lead Consultant and Senior Product Solutions Consultant, where they create reporting to help customers comply with ASC 606/340 and/or IFRS 19.

Stephen Michels, CPA obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University between 2013 and 2015. In March 2020, they became a Certified Public Accountant through the State of Florida. Stephen also obtained the Code Foundations Skill Path certification from Codecademy in April 2022.
