Melissa Stamatiades, CTFA has a strong background in wealth investments and portfolio management. Melissa currently works as the Director | Wealth Investments at CAPTRUST, where they are responsible for transforming the investments of newly-acquired wealth RIAs into CAPTRUST strategies. Melissa collaborates with senior executives and stakeholders to develop custom transition plans and ensure a seamless client experience. Melissa also analyzes strategies and portfolios, maps client accounts, recommends investment transition timelines, and has extensive knowledge of various software tools.

Prior to their current role, Melissa was a Senior Manager | Wealth Investments at CAPTRUST, where they led the Wealth Investments Portfolio Management group. Melissa focused on transitioning client accounts to CAPTRUST discretionary investment strategies and served as a Wealth Portfolio Manager for complex portfolios.

Before joining CAPTRUST, Melissa worked at Parsec Financial as a Senior Portfolio Manager, where they co-designed portfolio models and managed assets worth over $3 billion. Melissa was also a member of the Investment Policy Committee.

Earlier in their career, Melissa was a Broker at NC Realtor, where they gained experience in real estate. Melissa also worked at GRSi as a Network Design & Engineering expert, specializing in designing communication network cabling infrastructure for government agencies.

Melissa started their career at Wells Fargo, first as an Associate in Structured Finance Trust Services, where they handled financial reporting and analysis. Melissa later worked as a Mutual Fund Trader and Trust Associate, NSG, with responsibilities in mutual fund trading and daily reconciliation.

Melissa's work experience reflects their expertise in wealth investments, portfolio management, real estate, network design, and financial analysis. Melissa has a proven track record in building high-performance teams and is a persuasive communicator.

Melissa Stamatiades, CTFA, has a diverse education history. In 2016, they attended Duke University and obtained a Continuing Studies Certificate in Nonprofit Management with a focus on Entrepreneurial Leadership. Prior to that, from 1998 to 1999, Melissa pursued a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, specializing in Finance. Before their time at UNC Charlotte, they attended North Carolina State University from 1994 to 1998, where they pursued studies in the College of Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Melissa also holds several certifications. In 2018, they obtained the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification from the American Bankers Association. Furthermore, in 2016, they completed the Big Data Foundations course offered by IBM. More recently, Melissa has acquired additional certifications, including Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn in March 2021, and a COVID-19 Contact Tracing certification from Johns Hopkins University through Coursera in May 2020.
