Afshin Safavi

Afshin Safavi is an experienced advisor at CaraVan Biologix, a company that specializes in developing innovative solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry. Safavi has a wealth of experience in the field, having worked as a manager and director at various companies including Canine Biologics, Chimeron Bio, Colorado HTC, Safavi Holdings LLC, and BioAgilytix. In their most recent role as Director of Ligand-Binding and Immunoassay at AAIPharma, Safavi was responsible for leading a team of scientists and engineers in the design and implementation of a 5000 square foot state-of-the art CLIA laboratory. In addition to their work in the private sector, Safavi has also served as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.

Afshin Safavi received their Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kentucky. Afshin then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Emory University. Afshin received their BS in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.
