Jess Latimer

Jess Latimer has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Jess is currently working as the Senior Director of Software Engineering at Carbeeza. Prior to that, they worked as the Principal Consultant at Latimer Technology Services Ltd. Jess also has experience in the cannabis industry, where they held various roles at Aurora Cannabis Inc., including Director of IT Commercial & Finance Solutions and Director of Software Engineering. Before entering the cannabis industry, Jess co-founded Altapp Design, a digital and creative agency, where they served as a Technical Lead. Jess also co-founded Canlio, a startup in the cannabis technology space, and served as the Chief Technology Officer. Earlier in their career, Jess worked at Latitude Technologies Corporation as an Applications Engineer, specializing in avionics design and manufacturing. Jess also gained experience as a Co-op Student at 6th Dimension Devices, a startup in the sports science technology industry, and as a Co-founder at Growmedia Design Group, a digital and creative agency. Jess began their professional journey as a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta, where they contributed to research in biomedical engineering. Overall, Jess has a strong background in software engineering, leadership, project management, and client services.

Jess Latimer attended Shawnigan Lake School from 1997 to 2002. After completing their secondary education, they went on to study at the University of Victoria from 2002 to 2008, earning a Bachelor's of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.
