Chris Holdsworth is a geoscientist and MRV specialist currently engaged in consultancy projects at Carbfix, assessing the feasibility of CO₂ mineral storage globally while pursuing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh focused on tracking CO₂ injection and storage at the CarbFix2 site in Iceland. Chris has experience as a technical consultant for various organizations, including Isometric Science Network and ClimateXChange, contributing to carbon removal protocols and studying the impact of climate change on private water supplies in Scotland. Previous roles include feasibility screenings for geological CO₂ storage sites at Storegga and involvement in multiple research expeditions, showcasing leadership in environmental hazard management and geological studies. Chris holds a BSc and MSc in Earth Science from the University of Glasgow and is expected to complete the PhD in June 2024.
