Sanoop Kumar Puthiya Veetil has worked in various roles in the engineering and research field since 2008. In 2008 and 2009, they were an Environmental Engineer for CDM Smith and Green Method Engineering (P) Ltd. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Doctarate Fellow at Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), where they studied Mineral Carbon Dioxide sequestration using serpentinite mining residues. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Post Doctoral Fellow- Aqueous Geochemistry at McGill University, where they studied geochemical aspects of CO2 sequestration in carbonate aquifers. In 2016, they were a Teaching Professional for Vibranttutors, providing individualized and group academic assistance to students of all ages and abilities. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Senior Environmental Consultant for ESEAI Group, providing environmental consultant services such as Environmental Impact Assessment, contaminate site remediation plans and Auditing. Since 2020, they have been working at Carbicrete as a Process Improvement Manager and Research Development Team Lead, where they lead the R&D teams in R&D projects developing different cement free carbon negative concrete products. Sanoop Kumar is also Intermediate R&D Engineer, co-supervising R&D teams for various projects.

Sanoop Kumar Puthiya Veetil completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mineral Carbon Dioxide Sequestration from Université du Québec - Institut national de la recherche scientifique between 2010 and 2014. Sanoop Kumar also obtained a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from Cochin University of Science and Technology between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, they hold a WHMIS certification.
