Gigi Zhang

Gigi Zhang has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on business development and account management. Gigi is currently serving as the Business Development Director at CARBO since April 2022. Prior to this, Gigi worked as a Consultant at Probe from February 2021 to April 2022.

Gigi's longest tenure was at Baker Hughes, where they held various roles over the years. From 2015 to 2020, they served as the Global Account Director, responsible for developing and executing account strategies and winning key deals with major accounts. Gigi also played a key role in aligning sales efforts among different regions and product lines.

Before that, Gigi worked at Baker Hughes as the US Geoscience Manager from 2012 to 2014, where they successfully turned around the organization and increased value recognition from both internal and external customers. Gigi also served as a Product Line Manager from 2008 to 2012, leading three product teams and developing business plans and marketing strategies.

Gigi's earlier experience includes working as a Product Manager at Halliburton from 2006 to 2008, where they managed the flagship Openworks product and led a team of 49 people. Gigi also worked at Baker Hughes as a Senior Applications Advisor from 2004 to 2005 and as a Research Scientist from 2000 to 2004.

Throughout their career, Gigi has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive business growth and customer engagement.

Gigi Zhang's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, which they obtained from Tsinghua University from 1991 to 1996. Gigi then pursued further studies and received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from Rice University between 1996 and 2001. Later in their career, they completed an Executive MBA in General Management from The University of Texas at Austin from 2003 to 2005.
