Shannon L. has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as a Payroll Assistant at McKinsey & Company from 2001-2004. Shannon then took on the role of Payroll Coordinator from 2004-2007. In 2007, they became a Research Assistant at the North Shore-LIJ Health System until 2010. From 2010-2019, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Stony Brook University, where they were also a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. In 2019, they became a Scientist at Sanofi, where they were the Project Lead for rAAV producer cell line development and the introduction of Hamilton Vantage automation to producer cell line workflow. Most recently, Shannon L. is a Senior Scientist at Carbon Biosciences, beginning in 2022.
