Max Yancho

Max Yancho is a Forest Carbon Scientist with extensive experience in remote sensing and forest management. Currently employed at Carbon Direct since July 2024, Max previously worked at Pachama from September 2022 to June 2024 in a similar capacity, focusing on geospatial analysis. Max's background includes serving as a Remote Sensing Consultant at Blue Ventures, where responsibilities included developing GIS tools for mangrove forest monitoring. With a Master's degree in Forestry from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's degree in Forestry from Michigan State University, Max has also held positions at Drysdale Forestry & Consulting, Wexford Conservation District, and Michigan State University, gaining a comprehensive skill set in forest management, UAV technology, and stakeholder engagement.
