Sylvan Gallawa

Sylvan Gallawa is an experienced robotics technician and manager with a comprehensive background in engineering and maintenance across various industries. Currently serving as Robotics Technician Manager at Carbon Robotics since February 2020, Sylvan supervises a team while developing workflows and participating in high-level discussions on machine improvements. Previous positions include Lead Robotics Technician and Robotics Technician and Facilities Manager, where Sylvan contributed significantly to the development and production of Autonomous Weeder systems. Prior to Carbon Robotics, Sylvan held roles as Maintenance Engineer at Lazarus Naturals and Marine Engineer at Spencer Ogden Drilling, along with volunteer firefighting experience with Team Rubicon and Davis Fire Crew. Sylvan holds a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from California State University Maritime Academy.
