Kurtis Warner

Kurtis Warner is the current Head of Engineering and Production at Carbonix. Kurtis has previously worked as Shore Team at INEOS TEAM UK from February 2020 to April 2021, and as General Manager / Director at Sailing Bits from January 2014 to December 2017. Prior to that, they were with Ian Short Sails from February 2010 to March 2018, where they held the title of Sail Maker.

As a sail maker, Kurtis has designed, produced and developed yacht and dinghy sails for over 1000 classes and yachts. Kurtis is also a Lead Designer and head manufacturer of hundreds of racing sails per year, designing some of the fastest sails throughout hundreds of classes. In addition to their sail making duties, Kurtis also manages and leads a team of skilled sail makers. Kurtis is a respected leader among others with proven longevity throughout the team. Kurtis is constantly innovating new designs and production procedures to improve the sails efficiency, longevity and while not losing or increasing production time. Kurtis also races and trains with customers and teams setting up the boats and putting the correct procedures into place.

Some individuals on their team include Angus Leche - Principal Systems Engineer, Andrew Stephenson - Composite Integration Technician, and Aaron Boot - Senior Design Engineer. Their manager is Nathan Kirchner, CTO.
