Kasia Tokarska de los Santos, PhD has a strong background in climate modeling and research. Kasia is currently working as a Principal Climate Modeler at CarbonPool, a Swiss-based start-up that focuses on carbon credit insurance. In this role, they help accelerate the net zero transition by providing in-kind insurance for unexpected carbon credit shortfalls. Prior to this, Kasia was a Lead Climate Risk Modeler at Risilience, where they worked on climate risk modeling. - Kasia earned a Bachelor of Science (with distinction) degree in Physics (major) and Economics (minor) from Simon Fraser University from 2008 to 2012.
- Their secondary education includes an International Baccalaureate in Physics and Mathematics HL from United World College Mostar from 2006 to 2008.
