R Mike Monroe

R Mike Monroe has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. R Mike started their career at Siemens Healthcare as a Programmer/Advanced Programmer Analyst in 1987 and eventually became a Senior/Lead Programmer Analyst. In 2000, they moved to United Messaging, Inc. as a Senior Systems Administrator/DBA before joining Catholic Health East as a Senior Technical Analyst/DBA. R Mike then worked at Analytical Graphics, Inc. as a Senior Systems Administrator/DBA from 2005 to 2013. From 2014 to 2018, they served as an IT Manager/Sr Sys Admin at JGM, Inc., where they were responsible for managing the IT infrastructure and assisting with the migration to a cloud platform. Currently, they hold the position of IT Director at Golden Malted®, where they oversee the IT department.

R Mike Monroe holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 1986 to 1987. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Data Processing from Delaware Technical and Community College-Owens, from 1982 to 1984. In terms of additional certifications, R Mike Monroe has obtained several certifications including the Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer and Google Cloud Certified Cloud Digital Leader from Google in 2023 and 2022 respectively. R Mike also holds various Microsoft certifications such as Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure Database Administrator Associate, and Azure Administrator Associate. Furthermore, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020.
