Kayla Charles has a diverse work experience. Kayla started working at Esperança in 2021 as a Biomedical Engineering Intern. Following this, they joined the Southwest Kidney Institute in the same year as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Prior to that, they worked at Arizona State University, where they served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from 2019 to 2021 and as a Product and Development role from 2018 to 2020. In 2019, they also worked at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University as an Engineering Counselor, and later as a Teaching Assistant in 2021. Currently, Kayla is employed at Blink Charging as a Product Test Engineer since 2022.

Kayla Charles completed their high school education at Seton Catholic High School from 2014 to 2018, earning a High School Diploma. Kayla then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. Kayla started their undergraduate education in 2018 and is expected to graduate in 2022.
